What is there to hunt at Wild Horse? I'm looking for upland game.

Might be a good area to try since nobody is responding :dunno:  :chuckle:
I don't know why they call it hamburger helper, does just fine on its own.

Used to be chukar in that area. I'm not sure if they're still around. I'm sure there are a few quail. But there are better places for sure. I'm not sure I'd waste my time there.

Bobcat is right.  There is a some chukar (fly aways from a nearby trainer) and quail but really little worthwhile.  You can get the permit easy enough by visiting and watching the video.

Go ahead and give it a try, I have lived close to that area for 34 years, the bird hunting use to be ok but there are several local dog trainers who, have pounded that whole area for years now, between them and their dogs they are training and all of their clients who have brought even more folks to the area,,, you get the picture.
