Badlands 2800 water bladder
« on: July 13, 2012, 08:51:54 PM »
I have grown extremely frustrated with the Badlands web site. I am trying to get a water bladder that fits my 2800. Nowhere on the site can I see which bladder is made for the 2800. Tried to find other info and where to buy from, but I am running into brick walls. Soooo if any of the Hunt Wa crowd has the Badlands 2800 w/ a bladder, please let me know which one you bought and where you got it at. Thanks guys/gals.

I think I got mine at Sportsman's Warehouse (or is it Outdoor Warehouse now...they keep changing the name) in Spokane Valley, now moving to North Spokane.  They might have them at Cabela's.  It's square.  Hard to fill with water filter because it has relatively sharp hanging hook that you have to hold up as you fill.  I have a regular Camelback that has a quick connect to my filter and I can set it on the ground or on my leg as I fill it .  Much easier to fill and then I refill or top off the Badlands from the Camelback by gravity rather than by pump and then fill the Camelback up again.  The Badlands works nice at camp because of the large volume it holds and works great on the hike up for the same reason (though I usually start with 2 full bladders and I am hauling my pack).  On my day hunts I usually bring the Camelback in my fanny pack and on longer day hikes, I bring the filter in the 2800 pack for refills along the way but still keep the Camelback in the fanny pack.  I leave the larger water bladder at camp due to the weight.  That's my system anyway.

It's the square one, 105 oz I believe.

Thanks guys. The square one is the one that looks like it fits. I wondered which size. It looks like I will be getting the 105oz. I wanted to order one off the Badlands site......But the site sucks for navigation and information.

I have 3 different types of bladders and they all fit in my 2800. All shapes, sizes.

I ended up buying a bladder for about $15 at Big 5 and just adapting it to my Badlands pack. I just used a zip tie to keep it in place and it works great.
