Nooksack Soak (Final Chapter 2012)

After weeks of nothing but bears molesting my cameras, the bears moved on and the other critters have moved in.

I checked the cams today. Lots of elk. One of the cams had 795 pics but pics 156 through 794 were not readable, most likely a bad card. >:( Too bad because the very last pic was a very small cub that decided to take a nap in front of the cam.

Here are more pics from the last 10 days or so. I had hundreds of pics of the sow and two cubs. I had to add the pics of the "Ugliest Elk Rack in History"

I like that elk rack. Is that a collar? Maybe it's too tight. :chuckle:

Checked the cam this morning, a lot more of the same. Caught two coyotes, one taking a squat and the other riding a quad.

There are some OLD bulls in that area, fat and broke back..

That last picture should be sent in as proof of trespassing and ORV violation....I assume that since you said they were in a spot they shouldn't have been

Thanks, I searched for hours trying to find a spot with Mt Baker in the background. I wanted a spot with no trees in the way but this was the best I could find. I really want to cut 3 or 4 of those trees down but I know Sierra Pacific would not be happy with that :chuckle:. Most of those pics have the Mtn in the background but it is either washed out, too dark, foggy, or I cropped the pic.

:yike: I like how you guys jump to conclusions ...HOW DO YOU KNOW WHERE HE IS ...There is alot of private land that holds elk and just because of the heading your assuming he is Trespassing ... :o :bash: Maybe he is or maybe he is not ...So before accusing someone make sure you know what your saying !

Pretty obvious he looked right at the camera and if he was worried about it I doubt the camera would still be there  :dunno:

They ARE trespassing and they would need a good chainsaw to get the camera.

Woooohoooo, I got my first cat. :whoo:

I also captured several other critters. Momma's cubs are growing like weeds.

I pulled the camera since I will not be back into this area again until next year.

Nice variety you got there!

Does the temperature stamped on the pictures with that Primos 46 seem to be accurate? I have the same camera and mine is consistently 15 degrees too low.

I think the temp is close, certainly not 15 degrees off. I had this cam on the shady side of the tree so it was measuring air temp with no extra input from the sun.
