New to Archery
« on: July 15, 2012, 08:20:56 PM »
Hey all,
Well i've been a boom stick hunter since i was a kid and now am looking for a real experience of spot and stock.  I am looking for a bow recommendation, equipment, etc.  If you all have and idea who I should connect with let me know if you would.  I live up in Lynden and hunt out in GMU 418 primarily.  i like to go in deep off the roads and bow hunting seems like it would be a real rush.
Thanks

Go to a local shop, shoot a ton of stuff and figure out what you like. Plus what fits you well, you will get 1,000 different ideas from people. When it comes down to it shoot what fits you best and what you can afford.

Go see Gary at Riverside Archery in Mount Vernon he will be a great help for you.

Gary is great! and when your all fixed up come check out Silver Arrow Bowmen to get some practice in. He has little business cards with a map and info on them.  :twocents:
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Also, you have Wilderness Archery in Bow, Wa, stop in and see Roger and check out the line of bows up there also.  He has both indoor and outdoor practice ranges.
