Shooting Whatcom County?
« on: October 13, 2012, 10:10:43 AM »
Hi
Anyone know of anywhere to shoot for free in Whatcom County?  I know about the rifle range south of Lake padden and the gravel pit out Mosquito Lake Rd by the river but I was hoping to come up with a place relatively close to B-ham where I would not have to pay.  Thanks

I don't know of any free places, but the plantation range is relatively inexpensive iirc, and I think if you are a Whatcom county resident you even get a discount.

The gravel pit out on the North Fork road is as good as any spot I know.  Or any logging road up on Sumas Mt. is close to B'ham.
As far as places to shoot close to B'ham for free...good luck.  Your going to have to get out into the county and up a logging road to shoot.
If you love something you will set it free, if it don't come home, hunt it down and kill it.
