Hey bullblaster did you have the  Shrewd Precision brake put on? I tend to favor the gill style brakes over the ported brakes. If you did how do you like it?
he installed a 4 port DE brake for me. he had it in stock because someone ordered it and then didnt want it. he also did a froends 338 RUM with a shrewd radial brake. it looked real good as well. he loves it also.
i prefer baffle brakes for shooting prone and keeping dust down.

teh smith will order any brake you want, but charges a bit more for baffle brake installs because of the indexing.

Kampfeld is only taking small projects, most on remington actions only :bash:

I really thought that is who would be working on this gun. Then I READ HIS LIST.

http://www.kampfeldcustom.com/index_009.htm

Hard to find anyone that wants to work on anything but remington :bash:

That last sentence says it all! There's a reason for that.. Gotta love Rem700 actions. :IBCOOL:

Benchmark did a complete build on a friends Sako 85 not too long ago.

Sure, call Chris @ Benchmark. (360)652-2594

They just finished up a .338 Ultra Magnum for me and they should have another one ready with a Sako extractor, Muscle brake and Badger Ordnance bolt knob install this coming week. They will install any brake you like, I have even supplied them with a brake in the raw and had them finish it out and install it.

They installed this Harrell's brake I sent them on my XCR .375 Ultra Magnum along with a thread protector. 7 day turn around time.

Thanks, That's good to know because I have a couple bolt knobs I really like I might order them and send them in with the gun.

Mike Palazzo is the goodz, he is in Covington  (253) 631-3659

Mike screwed up two of my rifles and fought me tooth and nail to get them fixed ended up fixing one then i took the other one to someone else. He seems like a nice guy but i just think hes getting old and senile

Well I called and talked to one of the guys at benchmark. Very friendly and able to help me for the most part :chuckle: It was a yelling match when I asked if they could do my sako bolt. One person would yell at another trying to decide if they could do it. After about 4 people yelling back and fourth across the shop. They said that they should be able to do it :chuckle: Very nice and friendly. Prices seem fair. Pick the rifle up on Wednesday and then the projects start  I ordered the bolt knob today and when I get the rife I will shoot it to make sure I want to spend the money on it. Then McMillan stock is next on the list. Bottom metal will be here on the 20Th :IBCOOL:
