Finding the toughest broadhead out there....

i've tested n tried lots them darts!  from shootting at stumps to concrete blocks.  deer and elk.  nothing faired better then montec 125 to date! 
easy way to prove this is spending a bit of $$$ n do a side by side comparison with same bow same weight. 
some one already mention this.
i dont need to be proven to know i can trust my equipment when it counts

I am not a montec fan.  Lost a blade in an elk a few years back .Slick tricks for me.

slick tricks A. one of my budys shoots them but he did almost loose a deer few years back do to lack of blood.  i have never shot them my self.  my brother still shoots thunder heads which i hate with passion but he does get it done.
last 5 years or so only killed with Montecs.

try the shuttle t lock i shot a buck in wyoming with it and it went through it frount shoulder and all the way throught its spin and every blade is still intacked...... all it needed was a sharping and its was good as new

Never shot them t locks!  Lots have to do with kinetic energy also.
But then again.  Curious on if it makes a difference with a slower less power bow.
Everybody here has great ideas for sure! Glad fn muzzy not involved! Lol

I'd have to guess that a broadhead with a steel ferule would do the best like a Slick Trick but either way, bullet proof glass isn't going to prove anything.

What do you guys think of the G5 Montec broadheads in 100 grain?
Ive yet to actually invest in a good set of heads just because I havent had my hunter education class yet. Cant hunt, dont need good heads.
But the Montecs are what Ive had my eye on..
They seem real tough, Semi easy to sharpen - Maybe not to the factory razor edge but close.

Hmm those actually look pretty nice, Ive heard the G5 Montecs whistle anyways.
I have no hands on experience with them myself but yeah, a slight whistle, cant be good.
More then likely because of the way the broadhead blades have open insides.
The VPA's dont. Ill check them out thanks buddy!

Another vote for the Vpa 3 blade. You can get them vented or non vented. The non vented are supposed to be pretty silent and tough. They are not welded like the montecs either. Machined out of one solid piece.

Niiiice thats a winner in my book I like one piece machined, Welded anything always has the opportunity to fail or present problems.
