Btw - notice the computer screen behind the Dfw guy?  That wasn't there by chance.

Not that this was right in anyway shape or form but I think is BS we cant bait bears in Wa. The blues is COVERED with bears and with only a handfull of tags for a spring hunt there is only gonna be more and more and less and less Elk and Deer. Not to mention the WOLVES! Or very large coyotes! (story to that)

Bears do not have that big of an impact on deer and elk. Wolves have a much, much larger impact on the deer and elk. Coyotes have more of an impact than bears do.

That was a lot of doughnuts  I can see why there were 12 bears at a time.
With that many doughnuts I'm surprised he didn't get busted sooner. I would have thought some of the local "finest" might have stopped by to visit. :chuckle:

He had to know that what he was doing was illegal.  He deserves some serious consequences.

Suspended sentence.... BS. On 14 counts.... double BS.
I must be jaded.  It seems like our justice system has a problem with issuing and applying due punishment for crooks nowadays.  A 5 years suspension of hunting?????  Why is it not lifetime?  At least the envidence seems to inidicate a willful and habitual violation of the game law.  Time for his ass to not ever that the privilage of hunting that I live for.  This is the kind of crap that antihunters love to associate *censored*s like this guy with the rest of us law abiding hunters.   Good job catching the guy pretty bad job punishing him.

Just an FYI...I shot my Dayton spring bear while he was in the middle of eating a calf elk.  I am not expert on this subject, but its proof that bears do contribute to the cause... :twocents:

Bears here in Central Washington are calf elk butchers along with the big cats.

You're both right - bears and coyote are hard on deer.  There are one helluva lot of bear and coyote too.

BUT

Per capita - bear and coyote can't hold a candle to wolves.

The problem is when you combine all those things that kill our wild ungulates they can't keep up - they were loosing ground just to bears and yotes and hunters, add in wolves and the scale is tipped bad.
