which stabilizer do you use
« on: July 17, 2012, 04:19:51 PM »
Well the title says it all. Which stabilizer do you use? What length do you prefer for those types with multiple length choices? What about weight preference.....do you like the weight throughout or just at the very end

I have an octane that's 7 1/2" right now. But the camo is way off. So I'm going to swap it out for a black stabilizer. I really like the B-Stingers but the only black one I can find is 12" 8oz weight.

How do you like your stabilizer to balance the bow?

Yea I was just hoping to find one locally. I'm not a fan of their newer weight system though. I like the pancake weight up front

I might opt for the 12" though. I have hunted with a homemade b-stinger that was 11" and weighed 6oz and it wasn't in the way much if any.

I had the Limbsaver S-coil on before.  I bought my last bow used and it came with a 2 part stab.  My current bow also came with a Trophy Ridge Shockstop Lite.  Their bottom of the barrel stab.  I took the end piece off of the old base and added the S-coil to the base and then tried the Shockstop on the base and liked the feel and sound of the shockstop better.  Not sure what the base is.  It was painted and I can't see the brand.

OK.  Thank you.  I had always wondered.  Probably a limbsaver tip it had on it originally too.  I just like the feel of this set up a bit better
