waterproofing video camera
« on: July 17, 2012, 08:52:22 PM »
I just bought a video camera from a guy on craigslist to start filming more of my hunts and experiences in the woods. Im curious if anyone has any ideas about how to waterproof or at least make it more water resistant? I understand I will not be taking it out in super hard rain storms or anything but I would like to find a way to make it more resistant and give it more protection. I have vinal tape on it right now that is supposed to work good but if anyone has any better ideas let me know!

I keep a one gallon zip-lock freezer baggie in my camera bag. just stick the lens through a hole in one end. Not the most elegant, but it keeps the camera dry.

its all fun and all but it has its set backs ...keeping the heads clean and worrying about condensation.....condensation is the big one ...alway open the camera when you get home and remove the tape ....this was a big mistake I made and it cost me lots to get it fixed ....plastic covers seem to work the best

Goose Hunting on Go Pro

Looks pretty good to me.
But I do agree if the shot is very far away forget about seeing it on the screen.
