JB, real similar, 416 Rigby necked down to 338, designed to fill the gap between the 50BMG and 30 cal sniper rifles, concieved over in Finland I think? A guy at work has a Lapua in a Sako TRGS, shoots good, handloads 250 Sierra GK's at a little over 3 grand. Kills bulls with it almost every year, said it works good...

My buddy shoots a 30-338 Lapua wildcat.  I've shot it a couple times.  Wicked elk gun.

I have shot one at a range in Central Oregon. 600 yds. Very slight breeze. The spotter told me to hold 12 inches right. Of couse I didn't and missed!!!. I didn't miss the second shot.......lol. The 338 Lapua is an Awesome round!!!
