Pulled the trigger on the 6.5 grendel upper
« on: July 20, 2012, 07:42:22 PM »
Well I have been waiting to find the perfect Grendel upper for me and what I was looking for. I found it with ten percent firearms in Cali. I ordered a Sabre Defence 20" 6.5 upper tonight. I have had the lower put together for months now and finished my 223's first. Now in a few days I will be able to finish it! They hooked me up with a great price a few bonus mags :IBCOOL: I cant' wait! Now it's time for a order threw hornady!!!! Time to put the professional pricing to work with some new dies brass and bullets :IBCOOL: Have a sexy Leupold that will match the 6.5 nice :IBCOOL:

Yep, this is the sabre upper. I am surprised how light it is for a 20". Here it is, it just showed up a few minutes ago.

6.5 grendel 20" sabre defence upper.
Spikes tactical lower
Spikes tactical buffer
RRA 2 stage trigger
Magpul PRS ar-10 stock
ergo grip

Still waiting for my VX3 6.5-20X40 leupold, Mark 4 rings and black rain ordnance tac latch.

I just got setup with northwest hydro print as well. I think I am going to send in the forearm and have it dipped.

Looks like a BUNCH of fun! Are you going to run some of the factory Hornady A-Max? If so,keep us up to speed on how it shoots, I would like to know how it does in that Sabre barrel. That ammo is a smoking deal even if your a avid reloader, for the price you get one firing and then the brass. It was priced so well, it was way easier to get the loaded stuff and then reload the brass. The stuff shot so well I just kept buying the factory "Sissy" :chuckle: Hornady ammo.

Yeah I ordered the factory ammo the amax match stuff from them. They sent my dies and other crap out this morning but the ammo is on backorder :yike: Might have to look for some at the gun show this weekend. Even though my scope is atleast a few weeks out from leupold.

Hammer you thought it was a smoking deal, I would hate to send you my price sheets :chuckle: Easy to feed the monsters even with factory ammo. Hornady has been real good to me and got me setup. I am still a nosler S^*T :chuckle: Cant wait to send those amax's down range and stuff some 130g or 140g accubonds in there :IBCOOL: I am going to try to talk my little bro into shooting a deer with it this year and maybe his soon to be wife to :IBCOOL:

I don't know if I could do it, 2600.00 setup  :yike:

Maybe I will just make them stick to the tikka's :chuckle: Just kidding that one was for you hammer :chuckle:

The Tikka's are more affordable to drive, you have to pay to play. ;) Maybe you should order a extra case through Hornady and leave it where I can find it. :chuckle:

John,

Is that group a hand load with the 120 BT's or a factory load?

Edited: Obviously a handload once I went back and looked again.
