I wou
I am thinking about doing a rattling class/seminar later this summer. If anyone would be interested let me know so I can figure out how big of an area we'll need. I'll probably do it even if only 5 hunters are interested. There's just too much to it to share online.

l'd be interested. I hunt whitetails in Idaho and would love to learn how to rattle them in.

Still trying to put something together. I haven't put much effort into blacktails. I have a method for hunting them that works so I'm afraid to mess with it.  :chuckle:
Kc- I use shed antlers. Those bags and the plastic antlers are garbage imo.

It sounds like you love blacktails as much as I do.  In Calif. where I used to hunt, there were no rut hunts, so I would camera hunt during the rut.  I have rattled in many blacktails, and have hours of old film of them.  I have yet to kill a whitetail, but only hunt with the bow.  I am going out tomorrow hopeful that I can rattle one in.  To me this is like turkey hunting, I enjoy the calling in the spring more than the killing, even with my bow. This to me is the fun of the hunt.

How early in the season do you usually start to rattle?
