Indoor ranges
« on: October 31, 2008, 10:55:11 PM »
Where are any indoor ranges located near Auburn/Kent/Black Diamond/Maple Valley?  Never done but thinking of joining a league shoot just to get back into it on a regular basis, besides need a winter hobby.  Kicking myself for not taking a shot early in the year, due to not be fully prepared with my bow range.  Going to go with the long bow full time and do away with shooting the compound but gotta get good with it first..........................  And has to be a range that ego's are checked at the door..  Anyone know of a good one?

Check out the club I recently joined, Cedar River Bowmen.  You could almost walk there, it's off the Enumclaw-Franklin Rd.  The website is cedarriverbowmen.org .  They have 40 acres with multiple outdoor ranges and a clubhouse that I believe will be used for league shoots this winter.

The nice thing about the club for me is that everyone has been very friendly and the club is family oriented.  There are people with all sorts of skill levels.  I also have not come across any equipment snobs (meaning "you don't shoot x brand so your not worthy").  I've already learned quite a bit from others that have been very willing to help out.

Theres a total of three walk-thru courses plus the flat range and the broad head range.  I haven't gone thru all of the walk-thru courses.  I suppose you could walk up as close as you need to hit the target  ;).

Too bad there is nothing closer to my place. I heard from a good source that there could be something brewing which might change that (although not indoor). I am optimistic. That facility sounds great.

What did you hear for out by us Ray?  Other than Kenmore, it would be nice to have some options.  the Nock is okay for straight indo target at 20, but I would like some variety.

Wasn't someone to procure a club site somewhere in Fall City or Snoqualmie a year or so back?
