Elfin Cove Alaska trip w/pics
« on: July 24, 2012, 10:16:21 AM »
I took my 7 year old on his first trip to Alaska for a birthday present.  I met up with my brother and had a fantastic time.  I've had some GREAT hunts with family and friends but there is something about taking your son that puts it up on a completely different level.  We pretty much fished a day and a half.  Had good weather and a pile of memories and "firsts" for this dad and his fantastic son.

Big Yellow Eye

Nice Ling Cod

Seems he had a full belly

Nice Quill Back

Lots of Chum spawning

This was a view from Fishmasters Lodge where we stayed and were fed some of the most amazing food I've ever had.  For the first time, I ate fish that I'd prefer over beef.

Looks like a good trip. How many pounds of fish did you make it home with?

Brings back great memories; I've stayed at Inner Harbor lodge and Eagle Charter's lodge.
