Waterfowl Report
« on: July 24, 2012, 07:40:10 PM »
In case you guys didn't see the numbers.  Looks like everything did good this spring except pintail.  They are down 22 percent from estimates.  Might be some more restrictions in your bag limit when it comes to Sprig this season...

Great news!
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Pintail are interesting and glad they seem to be doing well outside the prairie pothole.  Interesting video by Delta I didn't know and these ducks are not in as much danger as advertised.  But like every duck nesting in Canada they will continue to have their struggles like all waterfowl.

The pintail is nation wide. Not the pacific flyway alone. we have huge numbers, were the rest of the country is down. Our flyway could have a higher limit. don't get your hopes up won't happen.

Why not?  I've already got the fever   :dunno: .  I've got this little girl all trained now, she's in serious shape and ready to tear it up this year.  I'm really anxious to watch her work this fall.

LOL! :chuckle:  I also agree it's early, but we all need to have something to look forward too...

LOL!  No roids.  Serious work this summer though learning to be a hunting dog.  This will be her first full season of hunting She's just 1 year 4 months old.  I love looking at her in the sun right now.  She's got very strong looking back legs, her belly is up tight to the spine, and her shoulders are just ripped with muscle.  Looks like an athlete right now.  She's a lean 64 pounds...

I can't wait either. I hope mine is ready by the time the season starts. He will be 1 year right at duck season. He is still learning how to dive in.

Pic's look good to me.  Great looking pup you got there.  There's something about seeing them come into their own during a season.  Kinda makes a guy proud...

Yeah it really fun watching him learn. Hopefully I can do my part and get him on some ducks this year.
