Anybody shot bears up Bacon Creek in the 418 unit ? Always heard that was a pretty good area. I hunted up there 30 years ago and haven't been back since.
Campmeat if you do watch the fishing seasons.  It can either be a ghost town or packed house ;)

Good advice for Fish and Chips then ???:chuckle:
:chuckle:  I hear birdsview has some great food.

I hauled wood chips out of the mill in Birdsview if it's still there ? You must be talking about the store/gas station ?
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

Just a reminder: some So. WA units don't open until the 15th.

this is kinda funny ...should I take wednesday off or should'nt I .. I never used to miss opening day of bear when I used to get excited about it ...So I see where your coming from ...but there is a huge diffence in how many more bears I can find in September than I can find in August ...those 1st 15 days in September are prime time and this year may be a very good blueberry year....I have been walking a little trying to get in shape so I can hit some of my top spots ..Last time I was in there we packed the camera and everything we needed and that was a job ...So I will be a little more prepared this go around ....Good luck everyone and hope to see a few hit the dirt .....

But, like past cougar restrictions, delaying the opener in most of these GMUs is contraindicated by population estimates. Most GMUs in So. WA are at or above carrying capacity for black bear.

Well.......speaking about C-post.

While I was in Vegas on Wednesday my Uncle took my dog for a little walk up there. He said that she started barking a ton at something in the thick brush  :chuckle:  :o  True story. He never saw what it was.
