Good luck on your hunt and take lots of pictures. I have talked a lot with Ferdi and can tell you if I was headed to Africa I would be hunting with him. You have a great list and some great animals to go after.

I hunted in the Eastern Cape on one of my hunts. Different than other areas I had hunted. Lots of open country so be prepared for some long shots. I took Eland, Black wildebeeste, and a steenbuck.

Can't wait to hear the report!

I'll be in Zim 10/1-10/10.

Ferdi, I hope your son is doing better.

Ferdi how does your terrain compare in canyons and steepness like zulu-natal. there was so flat rolling hills but also so very steep canton areas that reminded me of mule deer hunting in parts of washington.

Hi
I've posted yesterday but seems my post disappeared.

It will depend on where you go in Easter Cape. Some areas are very flat with almost no cover and other have thick bush and deep valleys.

The waterbuck in the pic above was a great one, meaning nice body and good horns, good ridges. An exceptional Waterbuck will have thick neck and exceptional horn length with good mass at the base.

Hope this answers your question.
