PICS of Sucess
« on: July 26, 2012, 10:19:35 AM »
Thought I would start a probable old topic of Successful hunts.
This is my 2006 18 14/16th bear, taken at 28 yards with a bow while elk hunting early season.
He went 30 yards after having an arrow pass thru both lungs and center punched the heart. Before and after......

Not much story, stepped out of the truck, spotted him in the bottom of a draw at about 200 yds, put 1 shell in the rifle, jumped the ditch, sat down, boom, hunt over.
Antlered rabbit tastes like chicken

Inuendo, wasn't he an Italian proctoligist?

Here is my back to back spring bears from 11 and 12 in North Skagit. 11's bear made all time books for me. Some where just north of 200lbs. This years bear was just a dry sow maybe 4 years old 130-140lbs.

Plus a picture of my first bear. We called this bear into less then 40 yards and I shot him. Very cool first bear. I have a half mount on top of my safe. Was a 3 year old boar around the 120-130 mark.

Did you just pound brush and come acrost the bear?
I always figured I would scare them off by making too much noise

The bottom bear my first one was called in. The 2 spring bears were killed by spot and stalk and glassing 2-3 year old cuts.

I have tried calling bears no luck yet but I can only imagine the rush. I get all jacked up when a coyote comes in.
