Just another thought you might want to consider...
I had the X1.. really liked it. BUT.. the scabbard is not the greatest thing since sliced bread. And just remember, its not that easy to take it out or put back in by yourself.. I know they show you can do it in videos, but it really is not that simple and easier to accomplish with a friend.
ALSO.. the scabbard goes below your waist... do you ever want to sit down with your pack on? I do. I hated having to either take the rifle out or take the pack off to sit down. Finally.. if you are ever decending down a pretty steep hill and slip and land on your ars... your muzzle of your rifle will smack the ground. I have done this and seen others do it.
I went to a MR Crew Cab because I can easily pack the rifle with the muzzle up and the butt of the stock sitting just behind the front compartment. YES, I have to take off my pack to access it.. but it really amounted to about the same amount of time as the X1 from Eberlestock and I dont have to worry about damaging one of the most important areas of a rifle in the event I slip again.
