Trail Cam Diagnosis Wanted
« on: August 01, 2012, 11:51:06 PM »
So I was pulling a cam today and thought I would take some pictures of the area and camera setup to be able to post here and get some feedback as to what I did right and what I need to do better.  I have some ideas but want to see how all u pro's think about your setups....

There is a 3 trail intersection that allows access to a river, 2 trails come from a meadow above and one sidehill trail.  I put it here in the hopes of catching a picture of a Cat I saw from across the river.  Lots of other animals around as well.  Here are some pics , I'll answer questions for clarity but really just want to hear your thoughts, good or not so good.

The second to last picture is what I was hoping to capture as an ideal image area, the last picture is what I was actually set up for... Windy spot with pictures taken every take few minutes at times. Glad I retrieved it after 9 hrs already ha 256 pictures of grass  :bash:

Looks like a good place although I think you have it tilted down to much...just my opinion.
Just one more day

Is there a sensitivity adjustment you can turn down?
It's a TIKKA thing..., you may not understand.

Turn the sensitivity on that one to low.  Cut any branches that can possibly blow into it.  Face it North.  Tilt it up 15 degrees.  Cut that big bush in front.  Raise it up 2'.  Find a road kill to drag out in front of it....... Yeah, that about covers it.   :chuckle:
Bring a GPS!  It's awkward to have to eat your buddies!
