Nope, none.  All the bears left when they heard the wolves were back.

If there is one thing I have learned from this site is that no matter what you are hunting C-Post is going to be where the big ones are.

There are a few bears over by Colville, Most of the rest have been poached out.

I went out yesterday and didn't see a bear.  I almost began to doubt that bears pooped in the woods until we finally made it up pretty high and discovered definitive poop proof!   :chuckle:

Thanks for the update deerhunter but you are mistaken. It is ofen a misconception that the entire area is closed. The Sanctuary is still open on a draw basis. As you have heard me discuss in the past the supplementa feeding and selective breeding program we have ofen results in a surplus of bears. Therefore, we use the draw system to "cull the herd" so to speak. If you have not recieved your permit than I am sad to say you did not get drawn this year.

The only problem with c-post is h20hunter dont like people in "his" honey hole so if you see him just keep driving.   He kinda looks like shreck and drives a pink Barbie FJ like this one.

Those powerline runs along Hwy 3 all hold bears.  Seems like one is hit on the hwy every year.

I am still overseas and cannot get a copy of the regs...  but from what I keep reading, C-Post is an archery only spot...

Anybody doing the recurve bear thing?

C-post is any weapon I thought?  I also thought I had read that it is the WDFW test site for lighted nocks, mechanical broadheads, and scopes on front stuffers.
