Get something in Gortex.     Or a camo rain coat for later in the season.

Drake is fashion gear. It is the cool stuff to wear to you DU banquet but not good in the NorthWest rain.

I have been using Riverswest, Eider Jacket.  The only draw back is if you hike a long ways you will be as wet on the inside as on the outside.  I finally ran into some leaking issues with it and they said to wash it and throw it into the dryer and it would seal back up.  It leaked again.  They said to repeat again and then use sealer.  I sent it back after the season and they taped and sealed every seam on the inside.  A little different looking on the inside now, but it has not leaked.  There are things I would change with the jacket to make it better, but for the most part it kept me warm, still warm when it leaked and it didn't tear.
I wear things out a lot quicker than most as I hunt hard, so a lot of gear gets replaced yearly.   :twocents:

After 18 years my tattered Columbia wear quad parka still works fine. Can't speak for what they make today.

I had picked up a Columbia Sportswear omni heat jacket and have loved it.  Very warm.  Another option to consider.
