this is a buck i took in idaho a couple years ago while on a back country elk hunt.  i have no idea what he scores but i have had a few people ask.  any thoughts on an aproximate score?  he is my best whitetail to date.

deer and elk open the same day in that unit.  normally dont take a deer in sept. because i like to go back in november and i like to concentrate on the elk hunt but i couldnt pass him up.
