These fires won't cause any problems with your late season hunt

if there is a wet fall hunt in the ashes.. years ago i hunted in the oak trees in goldendale after a fire.  ash still on the ground but it had rained a lot and the oaks were putting out new growth.. if i could have shot straight i could have killed a buck in 10 minutes.......  spent all day in there ... so fire is good for wildlife

Fires ARE good for wildlife, but they can also burn up a lot of the sagebrush and bitterbrush that they depend on for their winter feed.

The Mrs. and I were headed home to Everett from Oroville Sunday night and got turned around at Azwell Dam due to the fire. I snapped a couple of handheld photos shown below. Headed over the N. Cascades and had a much longer drive...but that's life.

I have heard that sometimes after a big fire, some groups have dumped mushroom spores out of planes in the area :dunno: any one else heard of this?
