Can't remember what tv show it was but they featured a buck that had a cage around his face-his antlers grew down and around his entire face  :yike:

sometimes injury can change scull structure or force anteler growth to be abnormal, very cool

Years ago my dad shot a Mule deer buck that one side grew down like that but was tight to his head.

Saw a "cactus" buck one time. That was pretty cool. I had only seen pictures of them before.

Friend of mine's son shot a spike whitetail a few years back that had the same thing going on - turned out that the antler had actually broken at the skull and when the velvet went away it fell off
