I prefer Leupold. I can't seem to get the eye relief right with a Nikon. Every one has a preference, go compare them side by side, and pick the one you like best.

I like the Nikon; I have one on my savage 30-06 had me putting three in a fifty cent piece at 300 yards from the shoulder no rest. I also really liked the redfields.

Every hunting rifle I own except one, has a Leupold sitting on it.  The one that doesnt has a Weaver K4 because it will always be as great grandpa carried it. Good products for the price and they are durable.

Leupold for me....however I have been hearing great things about the vortex and the warrenty is amazing.  Then again Leupolds warrenty is amazing as well, but you will pay more for the leupold.

Nikon ProStaff from Wally World is good.  Nikon has always given me excellent customer service as well whether it be cameras or scopes.

I have several nikons and they are pretty good scopes but I have been buying leupolds for everything the last 5 years or so.  I order them from the custom shop. They can put any reticle you want in there (i like a very fine crosshair, aim small miss small) or they can custom build you a bdc reticle for your gun and load.  Top notch folks over there!
