I have one.... No complaints, comfortable fit, straight shooting, reasonably priced. Having said that, I'm sure someone will jump on here and go ape about how terrible they are! Lol.

Awesome rifles! My ex girl friend bought me one when they first came out in 2004 and i loved that rifle. A bit heavy but they are solid shooters. I highly recommend 80 to 90gr pyrodex rs, 385 or the 410gr hornady great plains conical and the winchester 777 primers.

They are solid rifles (at least the one I had) . The only reason I got rid of it was because of the weight. Got way to heavy packing up hills all day.

Love mine. Taken quite a few with it. Heavy yes, but shoots well.

Just remember it is not really a Winchester and really has nothing to do with Winchester other renting the name.

I have one.... Only thing I'd do different is go with a stainless one.... I love mine.... Shoots great.... The great part of it is the weight imo.... During long sight in days and trying new load combos your not dead at days end and sore the next... I've killed everything I've shot at with it.... It's not picky about bullets or loads.... At least mine isn't..... Great looking gun... Very easy to clean and maintain.... It's just made in Spain with a rented name thrown on it... Could've been any almost anything...... But they bought Winchester name.....

it is heavy but that weight allow me to take a couple 148 +/- shots off hand from the knee. A very quick aiming rifle. Been watching a couple of them on some auctions and that rifle brings back good memories.

Kind of like Browning, but made in Russia.

The Winchester line up did however give you a big step up in quality compared to what CVA Offered at the time. Showed CVA that the customers were going to pay some extra for stainless steel and higher overall quality.
