I had a pair run up the road in front of my truck about 10 years ago near Rimrock, and to this day nobody believes me

No offense but I've got to see it to believe it.

I am with 3nails.  I don't doubt it but am a little skeptical.  There are a lot of marmots on top of Chowder that very much resemble a wolverine in the way they move, look, and color patterns are.  Obvously smaller than a wolverine but size can be deceiving at a distance.  Certainly not inmplying that you didn't see one but would love to see a pic.

I'll agree the country is deceiving, I seen it about 350+ yards out with a naked eye in the tall green vegetation and first thought it was a bear tell we got glass on it.  We also seen a bunch of marmots up there as well and no comparison in size.  As we glassed it I'm 100% positive it wasn't a Marmot, I've seen tons of them hiking the PCT.  Maybe there is some other large varmont critter up there to explain it.  Also with the gopro you can tell just by its size its a bigger animal.

I'll see what we can do for you.  I never posted a video before.  Not much of a video because the gopro doesn't zoom so you see it like you would with the naked eye and it just looks like a black spot on the hillside that far away.  It's Nimrods video.

I'll vouch, we both thought it was a bear at first.  The thing would keep standing up alert, almost acting nervous, then go back to doing whatever it was doing.  It was silvery on the back with a blocky head, and had a long bushy tail.  I had the scope out to snap pics of it if it was a bear, once we realized it wasn't a bear I didn't take pics.  It's captured on the gopro but can't see detail, just its size.  I wish I took pics through the scope now, didn't think they were uncommon.

Just like bigfoot sightings! Something always goes wrong with the camera.

I've seen marmots up close and to be able to see a marmot at 400 yards with a naked eye would be skeptical...but threw my binos its was clearly a much bigger animal in size could not say for sure but 45 plus pounds would not be exaggeratingAnd he wasn't whistling   I wish we has got pics and had a camera and everything we needed but used my gopro thinking it woud pick up but it only pick up its movement and color... It was exciting just the same hopefully I get another chance to take a pic... Now since its not a native animal can u harvest one?? The yeti can only be  found if ur camping alone and ur in ur tent in the dark :

Wolverines are native, and you definitely cannot kill them. If you look at the WDFW's "Species of Concern" list, they are listed as a candidate for both federal and state endangered species.

I'm sure you can't shoot 'em. Call the WDFW for the right answer. They probably will give you a song and dance....

Cool siting. I have no doubt you saw a wolverine. I wish you would have gotten some photos... but with your description it was defiantly not a fisher... fishers look like a 4' long moving duster. lol Saylean and I saw one in the Chewuch last weekend. I dont know if he got pictures of it or not.

we saw one about 10 years ago in 49 degrees north unit on my uncles property.

The one I saw was probably 3 feet long and maybe 18 inches off the ground. Had a short stubby, maybe 3 inch tail. He didn't stick around too long. It was balckish with kinda brown highlights in the hair.
