I prefer HWY 2, Hwy 20 is just to many turns back and forth especially with the trailer.
and if you are any where south of Everett it makes no sense to go HWY 20. Further south and you can take HWY 90. (I see you are in Skagit still take HWY 2)

I've driven every mile of state route W of 97 South of 20. I have drivine it with a trailer many times. just depends where i have to dropp the rest of my stuff at.
