I could be wrong but that dosent look like a metalized skull. There is a process called fossilizing which involves soaking skulls in tea or usually coffee and coffee grounds or other darkening agents. They can then be buffed, waxed or sprayed with a clear coat to get the glossy look. This is a Coyote skull done this way.

Charlie has taken a bunch of my money.He's gonna keep getting it too. Figure I owe to him, as everytime im down that way I propbably cost him an hour+ of production telling war stories Yet to be unhappy with Charlie. He's damn good at what he does!WB
Metalizing add that to th list of things to learn and offer.
I beleive Hunter Dug is doing skull cleaning and the dipping . Most taxidermist send skulls out to be dipped .
