Fire at Foam creek
« on: August 18, 2008, 05:17:42 PM »
Should be settled before the season get's here, but there's a fire at Foam creek and right now the white river trail is closed after the indian creek, or maybe boulder pass trails all the way to the head of the white. In case someone has a n ICO camp up there, right now stuff is shut down. Seemed like the Tin Pan fire the other year kept that area shut down for a long time. You can check the size at Wenatchee nat forest page or on geomac.usgs.gov.

They just let these things burn for the most part so hope for rain.

The mountains received some rain today.  A lot of lightning strikes too!  There is also a fire burning in Jack Creek in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness that is now over 1000 acres.

Sounds like were going to get an October type wet down tomorrow night, up to 2" of rain here on the wet side, be nice if it makes to over to the east side too!
Take a kid hunting or fishing, Pass it on, it's not yours to keep!

I saw on one site a "containment" date listed as Oct 1. Hard to know if these areas will have any access by the high hunt.
