Goofy Coyote and decent Blacktail
« on: August 18, 2008, 06:57:40 PM »
Got these pics a couple days ago, this Coyote is the most regular visitor these days, the rest of my action has slowed and I think I know why...The buck is decent but it's not compared to the 3 4 points I've been seeing in the area, I'm hoping to get a picture of one of them soon.

He's still coming in, I sat in my stand for a while tonight with my predator call with no luck.  When I went down to look at my camera I noticed he not only pissed on my block he laid a few piles of crap on it too.  I'm going to spend a little more time in the stand this week and see if I can't put some lead between his ears.

Of course it sure doesn't seem to be bothering the elk, several cows and a small rubbed out bull came in over the last 3 days.

Well if I don't get that pesky coyote I don't think there is any harm.  I've had several deer and elk in and they don't seem to be bothered by the piles of crap and the smell of the urine.  This calf is definitely comfortable...
