I know, I have a 75 gallon fish tank (For sale for $40 BTW :tup:) that I can fill with sea water.  I can catch them and keep them in the tank and feed them until time to boil them the day before the trip

Forget it--the cost and difficulty in maintaining a saltwater aquarium is not worth it.  That's why freshwater aquariums are so popular.

have them come pick up the crabs a month earlyer and bring the clams later. Make crab cakes.  :drool:

If you are going to freeze the crab in the shell, only cook it 1/2 way. Than finish it, in Boiling water when you are ready to eat it. Or cook it completely, remove the meat and vac pak. But truthfully, for me, fresh is a right off the boat and into the pot. BTW I clean my crab completely before  cook it. Cut in 1/2, remove the shell and guts and then cook it. So much easier to eat! It will stay well in your fridge a 2 days after cleaned.

I know where you can get plenty of fresh crabs on the east side  :yike: :yike: :yike: :yike:  Not to sure it will be the crab screaming if you boil them in hot water though  :dunno: :dunno: 

OH WAIT.....I have decided not to give up my honey holes so you will have to figure it out on your own.

Since frozen crab is nowhere near as good as fresh unfrozen, I'd stick with something else like clams. When I go and visit friends and can't bring my own fresh caught crab I just buy it, Westport always has fresh live crab. Those east siders love fresh crab... Along with all other seafood.
