Need a hunting buddy
« on: August 18, 2008, 11:08:05 PM »
Looking to team up with someone else located in the Seattle area to get the hell out of town and chase some bears. I have been going on my own (blew a stalk today) but it is getting expensive (gas) and know I will be in for a hell of a time when I get one down on my own.
I have been archery hunting but I am not opposed to going with rifles.
Let me know if you are interested.

Where are you traveling from and what area (about) are you hunting ? I'd be interested in going to check it out, have not gone this year, waiting for archery elk. Would be fun to get out in the wood. Let me know some details, I have a f350 and can drive. Mike

Sounds like you have some offers closer to you which is great. I'll wait and include all hunting together for deer elk etc. Good luck and have fun. Mike

I would be down for that. Preferably the hunting, I mean don't get me wrong... I enjoy my beer just as much as the next guy. But I love to be out in the woods.

There is lots of wilderness out HWY 2, just depends on how far you can hike. This is my first season going out HWY 2 but I'm beginning to get the feel of the area. I try to go out everyweekend or at least every other. Keep an eye out on this forum, I'll put up a message before i go back out, probably the weekend after next. Pretty much gotta be up for hiking though. Seems to be lots of road hunters out there so I haven't seen much as far as animals off of FS roads.

Certainly enough to stave off driving to the peninsula.

I took my bear on a FS road that came right off of Hwy. 2.

When was that?  Been up there a few times, just never connected.  Have not really tried too hard yet either.
