jant
the only land in the 652 unit that is huntable is farmers lands or a strip of land up behind rainier state school that is owned by hancock you could go up on the fs roads past greenwater or state land out past eatonville.
hancock owns all the land around here and if you dont have a permit you are screwed.

I might be wrong but looking at the reg's, 653, white river unit, is not open to muzzy for deer and permit only for elk.

You are correct.  The entire unit is permit only for elk.

if your just meat huntn vail is your best bet, when it comes to the puyallup unit you gotta really pay attention to the boundaries especially up around eatonvillebecause some roads are the mashel and some are the puyallup and when you get past a part of mt hwy its the skook...... but if your muzzy huntn for deer and dont care what you shoot i doubt you will have any problems finding somethn, how old are you if you dont mind me askn? if your a youth hunter i am sure i can help get somethn figured out for ya.
