I am offering a deer butchering class, when I get my deer.
« on: August 19, 2012, 09:35:48 AM »
I am going to offer a deer butchering class with my deer, whenever I get one.  If you want to see how I do it, send me a PM titled "Deer butchering" with a phone number you can get a text at and where you live so I can try and get a central location where we can meet.  I will send out a text to everyone when I am going to cut my deer up.  You'll get about 24-36hrs notice since I don't cut my deer until after rigor mortis releases.  I'll probably have to work around a work schedule too.  I will most likely be hunting most of early sept. but have a big trip the weekend of Sept 22 to get maybe both of my deer for the year.  If I get a nice one in my sights before then, I will do 2 classes, assuming I get my 2nd deer Sept 22-23.  Class will most likely be in my yard in Shelton or the back of my truck at a central location like Cabelas or something, depending on where everyone is and when I can get to somewhere.  You won't get butcher type cuts with the way I do it i.e. rib roasts on the bone and the like since I don't have a bone saw and other fancy tools but, you will be able to do it yourself from now on and get lots of nice cuts of meat to cut into steaks or roasts with just a knife.  If you're interested, send me that PM.  I'll also probably post to this thread when the class will take place.

Like I said, this isn't the end all of deer butchering, just one persons take on it.  If interested, let me know.

Since I plan on tagging out on my primary deer license Sept 1st :chuckle: , I'll bump this thread.

Awfully confident! Must have a few tied up, that's good.

Have to be confident.  I can't get all disappointed and dejected after an empty handed hunt if I'm not confident that I'm going to tag out.
