Site going down for server upgrade
«
on:
August 13, 2012, 11:52:56 AM »
We are changing server hosting companies, the new server is being set up as I type this. The actual downtime for the forum should be minimal but thought everyone should know that there may be a loss of service for a short period of time and we could possibly lose a handful of posts today or tommorrow when we switch the domain to the new server.
UPDATE - Saturday 25th
Files are finally transferred, the site will be down a short while this afternoon during the switch to the new server. We don't expect it to take long and the site will be back online.

They are still transferring forum files, turned out to be a much larger job than the new server company thought. I'm not sure when we'll start on the new server, hopefully in the next day or two. There may be some downtime during this new startup.

I was assured that this would be a smooth transition to the new server. It was supposed to have been accomplished before the 15th and now that it has finally occurred, this is the first time I have been able to login today, I'm not very happy, but hopefully we will have a better experience now that the forum is finally up and running.
Please post any problems here so we can try to resolve them:
