heading out tonight to go bear hunting near highway 2

Man It sucks getting sick! Sorry about not seeing anything. Just a note, there are no bears around Hwy2. They are all up around Hwy 20 or down at I90.    Stick with it, you'll have success eventually. At least that's what I keep telling myself! 

 

I had thought about checking out highway 20 but the harvest report was kinda low in that area unless I saw it wrong. I figure if I spend enough time out in the woods that I will eventually see one. Even a blind man can find things sometime.

Yup, even a blind squirrel finds the occasional nut!  I finally got out for about a 2 mile hike yesterday. My ankle was still a little sore, but surprisingly not bad. I went into an area I was in in the spring. I had seen some serious scat in the spring and it appears that whatever made it is still living in the area. I can't wait to get back out there and snoop around some more. It takes a big animal to dump a load that size. About the size of an adult rabbit!
