There is already wolves there ..... seen them

Heard them. They've been there for a few years.

I saw one in the 520 unit last late archery. reported it. It was 20 yards away.

Great video! I love the research they are doing. I have a hard time believing they have released wolves there... not saying the people that have seen them are lying. I just have a hard time believing something before I see it. I have hunted those hills a lot over the 10 years and never caught a glimpse or seen any sign of wolves. I also think they would have a hard time releasing them without getting caught

Here we go again. Wolves haven't been released anywhere in WA. They've been "allowed" to come in from ID, OR, and Canada. They can travel hundreds of miles a month and have frequently been tracked doing so. Seeing that they've been in the Cascades for over a decade, it's hardly inconceivable that they've moved in around MSH.

I agree that they may be here! Im not denying that at all! Im just saying I have a hard time believing they have been released. hummm.....considering i hunt there.  sure would love to see a wolf up close.......like within10-60 yards during archery season.      theres prolly as many wolves around st helens as there are 6 point bulls......which aint very many.    sure would like to see pics of some nice bulls taken around st helens.  no rag horns allowed.  needs to be big rack for its size.
what is a rag horn you ask?  a bull that has points about the size of your ding ding finger and about as tall as a small deer rack. 
a rag horn is a rack you tell people you shot, (like a 5 point)but don't want to show them how small it is.

i talked to a predator biolegest that had been up there looking for a "red high country fox" for over a two months..she had never seen a one yet..out of "hundreds of trail cameras..but either way i asked her bout wolves in the area and she thought it was kinda far fetched (not impossible)..she said some of her coworkers on the east side are freaking out in general about the wolves over there so if they were around mt st helens she thinks her department would be doing back flips..but like  i said she couldnt even find one of the foxes that are native to the area...

i also have spent loads of time around every side of that mtn an have never even seen a track..there are some prety mondo sized yotes tho (60 pounders)..also color phased yotes....

if there was wolves how come you wouldnt see them down on the flow where all the elk winter ? do they migrate away from the elk ?

I have seen the wolves and tracks personally ..... you would think a taxidermist would know the differance between a yote ( Ive shot a ton) and a Wolf. I can tell you I saw 2 sets of wolf tracks running together up above Fawn lake in about 3 foot of snow, I was the only one that could make it up there as I had a big black blaer with 40 inch tires. There is a HUGE differance in a wolf track versus a yote. I also seen a wolf in the canyon below the squanto tank. He was standing on top of an old growth stump ( probably about 6-7 feet wide) and that thing took up the whole top ....... 60 pound coyote ... I think not. Another was spotted just above the flow 3 years ago. They are far and few between but Im positive these were wolves that migrate in and out of there through the years . I dont think they were transplants . I saw all this back in the mid 90's.

great SO now when the wolfs show up the wdfw will Tell you they came here for the elk.. they are covering  there butts.

No wolf would ever make it I live 10 miles down the road, I would take care of that little problem
