My Alaska Trip
« on: August 25, 2012, 08:52:02 AM »
I got the privilege of getting to go to Alaska this year for an adventure of a lifetime.  We stayed at the Alaska Sportsman's Bear Trail Lodge in King Salmon.  It was a first-class place in every aspect from equipment and guides to food and staff.  We fished 2 days from the jet boat on the Naknek River and 2 days from float planes into the middle of nowhere.

The silver fishing was more like silver catching: my arms were worn out.

The bears were big, close and plentiful.

And the rainbow fishing was phenomenal after some beautiful hikes across the tundra!

Bring a GPS!  It's awkward to have to eat your buddies!

That looks awesome and a trip that would ease a lot of stress. Is that the trip you boss took you on? Very nice.
Just one more day

Great pictures and great variety. That’s the kind of trips I like.
