Yak Res. birds
« on: August 29, 2012, 09:00:33 PM »
Hey guys down ther how is it looking this year. going down on Saturday for doves and to eliminate the dang coyotes.  I shot to many down there while bird hunting last year :bash: :bash:.  I wish the tribe would open up hawk hunting as between the coyotes and them they sure kill a heck of a lot of birds.

Good luck this year. time to by a permit and shoot those doves and pigeons .

Make sure to put Magpies up high on the list of predators to be dealt with....

you can get a predator permit from the tribe but it is a bunch of hoops and b.s. to deal with.
It is foolish and wrong to mourn these men.  Rather, we should thank god that such men lived.  -General George S. Patton

Brood counts indicate a 50% improvement over last year.  Looks to be maybe a click higher than the average counts over the last 10 yrs.

It may be a little higher for phez from what i've seen, or they slowed down more this year  to count the birds outta the window.  It's not exactly what I would call a sceintific approach but I guess it's better than nothing.
Don't forget to pick up your shells!
