busted by a bear tonight
« on: September 04, 2012, 10:55:54 PM »
Got busted by a bear feeding 20 feet off a road tonight.  It was feeding in blackberries downhill when i was beside it.  It took off down the hill.  I was able to get the rifle up and catch him in a couple small openings but just didnt feel like a good shot so i passed.  Not a big one but could have been my first. :bash:
First bear i have seen this year.

Nice job  holding off on the shot when it didn't feel right.    It sucks not to get the kill but you earned a gold star from me on ethics and responsible hunting.

By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.
