Sons First Bear!
« on: September 01, 2012, 08:05:24 PM »
Between sports, family activities and HOT weather we were able to get out and do a little scouting and clearing some brush on an old clear cut to relax and wait for a bruin. We spent last sunday morning doing a little clearing and after dinner we decided to grab our chairs, some snacks and head out for the evening hunt...6:45 we arrive to our designated spot and we hear a crash on the other side of a big pile of brush. We set our chairs and gear down on the ground and the next sound we hear is a big sniffing sound...within seconds a bear steps out at about 10-15 feet, turns to look at us and then stands up on his hinds legs...I wisper to my son to take the shot BOOM! Bear down. 6:50 the work begins...makes a head shot at around 10 feet. Destroyed the skull  :( but has a nice white patch that will look great for his head mount  He is still walking in the clouds after getting his first bear, and as a father I couldn't be more proud it was awesome!

Nice Bear!!!!  congrats!
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.
