With Green Diamonds closures and my officer test this weekend I decided to take another night off from the hunt ,I don't like it much, but I need the study time for the the test. Took a practice test tonight and scored a solid 90%. Couple more days of study and I should be able to get that score to a 95 at least. I will be going out tomorrow night to check on some of the areas that people have suggested to me in my other post I put up last night. I am determined to end this thread with an entertaining write up and a few good pics. Thanks everyone for all the help, support,  and good vibes.

Little brother called me today, said he needed to get out in the woods (woman problems  :chuckle:). So I ran down to Aberdeen to pick him up. We decided to go out to Copalis. Our sister owns a small chunk of land out that way that is usually very good for grouse and if it comes to it I plan on baiting the heck out of it for late archery. I just used this time as a scouting trip and a little time with my little brother. There was a lot of sign, a lot of grouse, and a lot of coyote crap all over. We saw two doe but they both had fawns with them so we let them walk. I didn't bring my .410 for the grouse so we came out empty handed but we had a good time and late season is looking bright. I am still hoping to fill my tag sooner than later so I can help my brother fill his first tag this season as well and he can't hunt til late season. Today was just one of those fluke days.

I had one get me last year while I was walking down a gas line right of way.  Adrenalin shocked my system so bad I damn near passed out about 5 seconds after it flushed.  The worst part was the wife was with me, I'm never living that one down.

I am in Aberdeen a lot. My family is all down that way mom,2 brothers, 3 sisters, and 10 nieces and nephews. I grew up my entire life in Aberdeen; just moved to Olympia last summer for school. I would like to eventually move back down there, thats why I am putting so much effort in this jailer job in Hoquiam.

Good luck on the test.

Test is done, tougher than I expected but I think I did well enough. Only need a 70% to pass. Over 100 people tested for 4 positions. So I am hoping that I scored high enough to make it to the oral boards.

I will be hunting tomorrow night so the write up should be a better read  :chuckle:
