kid fishing around spokane
« on: August 31, 2012, 10:01:32 AM »
hello, I was hoping to take my little nephew out fishing around spokane. Anyone know of any good stocked lakes/ponds that he might be able to hook a trout or perch or something? thanks

Try Newman Lake, Williams Lake and/or Badger Lake. I believe they all have docks to fish off of or boat rentals. I know Williams and Badger both have boat rentals. Plenty of trout there as well.
Good luck for to you and your nephew!!!

West Medical Lake and Clear Lake should provide him with a few fish.    If you're going to West Medical, try yellow or green powerbait with about a 3' leader after your sinker/swivel.

I would take him to downs lake. They rent out row boats for very cheap, takes about 10 minutes to get across the lake in one. Plenty of perch/bass/trout in that lake. Pm me if you want specifics.

:yeah:
This lake is overloaded with perch and bluegill.  They are hard not to catch.

Badger/Williams or Fishtrap all have easy acess from the docks.  Fishtrap has a bunch of BLM on the North shore if you want to hike and make a day of it. I don't know how Fish lake by Cheney is, but that might be an option.  Chapman Lake has a bunch of small Kokanee in it.
