COUGAR KILL!!!
« on: September 03, 2012, 09:01:39 PM »
had a cougar on my cam a couple weeks ago and figured he would be back.  I didnt expect to get this on camera.  kinda explains the lack of good bucks in the area. It took over a day after the cat cruised thru the first time for the deer to return, and took over 3.5 days after the kill for the deer to return.
I've hunted almost everyday of my life, the rest have been wasted.

I would sit on that kill and wait until I killed me a kitty.....
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

That is great! A one in a million shot on a trail cam! Looks like that cat was set up with some nice tender veil for a bit. ;)

I always take in account the surroundings, when I set up my plots... so that its not a easy ambush spot for the cougs....
they are sneaky tho...

Probably some of the coolest trail cam pics I have ever seen. You are one lucky guy.

Very cool pic! Unfortunetly this is third different cougar kill caught on trail cams in Washington in like the last 2 weeks. Something that should be a very rare occurance is happening too frequently. I Thinks it just proves we have way too many cats.
