Sick. Some sick rifles right there. What kind of ranges are plinking shots for you guys?

Anything inside of 950 on most any day for me. Past that I get to work at it a little bit. 1300 seems to be the limit for my 6.5's.
If I'm slinging 300 MK's out of my 338 Lapua, 1500 is the farthest I shot it.

Is the wind hard on the knees up there, or are the pads just upping the cool factor?

Miles, nope. In that match we had to transition fron helo to  prone ground shots etc in a hurry so we wore our stuff for th.e entire match.
If i wanted to look cool I'd wear nomex gloves while  clearing brush on my brothers property.
