I'd say go back ,the bear could be nearby .....maybe 2 - 3miles ,who knows ...or you could run into his brother -it's worth checking it out
Everyone thinks that I'm freak ,I don't look different do I ?

I have found if you jump them or or spook them out somehow, ( scent or other) they will probably go right back to the routine the next day. But once they know your shooting at them it's another story. It will probably change up a bit. But like said earlier, there is always another to take it's place

I've seen bears come back to the same place over and over again. I saw a bear last year 3 weeks in a row in the same cut, all the while shooting was going on echoing through the canyon just a half mile away.  It seems sometimes they can not be bothered by gunfire and sometimes it will drive them away. Each one is different. It very well could be there again even if you shot at it. Its worth going back to look.
