First day out and its not even light and i have them located......got out to my spot and let out a locator bugle and i sat quiet and listened...at about 10yds i could hear somthing moving towards me so i shine my red led flashlight on it and my cuz says bear cub...just got a little glimpse of it as it walked behind a stump.....im thinkin oh sh*@ this cant be good  i pull out my sidearm just incase momma was close but luckily it walks back out in the road and ends up being a porcupine  :chuckle:...after that morning wake up i bugled again and a cow answered my bugle not 100 yds away then i hear the rest of the herd trot off...they werent spooked but just walking away....so now i sit here waiting for it to get light out so i can go track this herd...there heading up towards my trail cam so hopefully ill have some pics to share in a few hours....goodluck everyone today...wack n stack the elk this weekend!  :tup:

Well no luck today..they kept just ahead of us and kept going in circles around a couple hills....i found a wallow they have been goin to....i had to come in early for my kids soccer game but ill be back at it in the morning...i know about where they went....on the positive note i had a few guys going nuts with their bugles on the roads...i could hear them driving back and forth bugling to me...it gave me some entertainment for a half hour  :chuckle:
